I was astounded to see this post when I "Googled" Henry O Barrett the other day. Henry and his sister Mary Elizabeth (married to Arthur Morris) were siblings of my great-grandfather, John Thurlow Barrett, Jr. I know absolutely nothing about this branch of the family, except for a few New Orleans birth and marriage records and the burials of Henry, Mary, and her son George Morris in the Barrett-Morris tomb at the Masonic Cemetery in New Orleans. Your post was my first clue that family members had gone West. Do you have a family connection to the Barretts and Morrises? Would love to learn more and share further info.
