In our files at the museum, I have an extract from the December 23, 1921 issue of the Kiowa County Press:
It is in the Towner news - Towner is closer to the Kansas border, about 10 miles or so from Sheridan Lake.
It lists: "...death...Friday night, December 16th of Mrs. G.L. Pack at her home south of town...leaves husband and thirteen children...Funeral service at the M.E. church.
I assume this is the same person. The death records in Kiowa county are rather scarce, but I will check when I pay my water bill next Tuesday at the office of the Town of Eads (which is now the county seat) where the death records are kept locally. If they have a record, you will have to request it and I will get a cost and an address for you to write to.
The newspapers for 1921 were not on microfilm, but are generally available at the courthouse - I will try to get there in a week or so and see if I can find any more information for you - my next week is pretty full, but I will see what I can do.
I think the burial records for the Sheridan Lake cemetery are also available at the court house - if you are interested I could go and see if there was ever a stone put up for her - perhaps take a photo...but since Sheridan Lake is thirty miles away from Eads, I would have to charge for the trip.
