Wyatt Coleman, b Aug 31, 1810, TN, my gggrandfather - in Panola County,
TX in 1850, in Williamson County, TN 1840, Rutherford County, TN 1830
and probably in Rutherford County in 1830 and 1820. Who was Wyatt's
father? One 1820 Rutherford Co list Colemans - Benjamin, Gordon and
Joseph, and the other list shows Wiat, Abel, Jourdan, Joshua and
Joseph.

In Virginia a Wyatt Coleman was granted a warrant for 3110 2/3 acres of
land for serving as a Lieutenant in the Revolutionary War on the
Virginia State Line. A Samuel Coleman granted a warrant for 100 acres
for serving as a Private 3 years on the Continental Line in the same
war.

State of Virginia:
Spotsylvania County: Wyatt Coleman born 1732. Fa: Samuel Coleman.
Mo: Elizabeth Wyatt.
February 4, 1775: Ed Wiat, Samuel Hawes, Thomas Coleman, Wiat Coleman
witnessed a Deed of Gift from Robert Coleman of Drysdale Par., to John
Coleman. 316 a. in Spts. Co., part of a patent granted sd. Robert
December 2, 1723.

Caroline County: February 1759: Francis Coleman granted a license.....
July 1759: .....Francis Coleman replaced as overseer of road....
August 1759: .....Thomas Coleman, orphan of Samuel Coleman, chose
Thomas Coleman as his guardian.....
August, 1759: .....Spilsby Colemn chose Richard Woolfolk, as his
guardian.....
April 1760: .....John Almond, agent for the estate of Wyatt
Coleman.....
September 1760: .....James Coleman petitioned for a road.....

Augusta County: March 1772: .....letter from Wiat Coleman authorizing
the binding out of his son, Samuel Coleman.....
November 1780: .....Petition.....Writ, March 20, 1776. Samuel Coleman,
shortly to leave the County, deposes. He wrote a note August 1774 for
Thomas Jameson to Frances Montgomerie and endorsed on it that Captain
McClenachan was to pay it out of Jameson's pay as a soldier in the
expedition against the Shawnees.....

Since my sources of research are very limited I have not been able to
