This is some of my Coleman information. I do have Ellison Coleman's brothers
information but will have to "dig" it out. I believe his name was Spencer
Coleman. If any of you connect or have information back further, I would

JOHN H. COLEMAN son of Ellison Coleman and Nancy, born 15 Jan 1843, in
Franklin Co., Tenn.
1850 and 1860 census has him living at Gallatin Co., ILL.
After 1860 to 1870 he is found living at New Market, ILL. through property
records.
He was in the Union Army, Company F 56 Regiment, Illinois Volunteer Infantry
from Nov. 15, 1861 joining at McLeansboro, ILL. and was discharged 31 May
1865 at DC. He was with Sherman during the march from Georgia to the sea.

His first wife was Mary Jane Gross born in Georgia, I think Atlanta. After
her death he married second wife, Elizabeth Thomas Powell. Her first husband
Jesse Powell died in Bokoshe, Oklahoma. Elizabeth and John are my great
grandparents. My grandmother was May Ruth Coleman Fisk. I have the children
of John and Mary Jane, Elizabeth and Jesse and then the children of Elizabeth
and John if anyone is interested. John H. Coleman son George Coker Coleman,
married to Mary Emma STRAWN. A brother to John H. Coleman, William S.
Coleman, 40 in the 1880 census, Sulfur Township, Sebastian Co., Arkansas.
