Chalkley Collins of Great Barrington Mass in a letter dated 8/16/1900 says:
Henry Collins belonged tothe Parish of Stepney in the eastern part of the
prestent city of Londoin and worshiped in the Old Parish Church at that
place. This Parish Church of Stepney dedicate dto Saint Dunstan, is the
oldest in East London, and one of the oldest in all of London. Before Dunstan
rebuilt the church in the 10th century, there was a Saxon Church there
deicated to all saints. The present church was built in the time of Edward
1V, 1471-1483 a few relics of the previous church being preserved. According
to church records several of the children of Henry and Ann Collins were
baptized in this church, among whom was his son John. Henry Collins place of
residence is recorded in this record as Tatcliff Highway, and his business
that of a starchmaker.
