Hi, All--

I just joined the COMBS list, and I also posted the following message on genforum.
Any help would be very greatly appreciated.

Looking to share information on ancestors and descendants of William COMBS (abt.
1794-). William moved to Wilkes County, GA about 1815. His father owned a place in
VA called "Fair Oaks" (or Mt. Sterling). He was the second husband of Sally EVANS,
whom he married 24 Oct 1823 in Georgia. (Sally's first husband was Samuel SLATON.)
William and Sally had several children: J.E., T.S., Sterling, Emily, Jane, Sally,
and Matt. According to information in Wynn's book, "Southern Lineages", both
William and his wife are buried at Cusetta, AL.
