Searching the RLIN catalog of Manuscript collections at

may be of interest to Alabama Comers.

Notes: Son of Governor Braxton Bragg Comer, Donald Comer
had a long and distinguished career in Alabama. Along with
his family he controlled Avondale Mills in Sylacauga, Ala.
The Donald Comer papers consist of letters to
Comer from business associates, programs for dedication
ceremories for buildings in honor of Braxton Bragg Comer,
and
materials concerning Donald Comer's speech over Birmingham
radio station, WAPI, as a "Voice of Alabama". Also included
are biographical sketches about Braxton Bragg Comer, and a
letter from Governor Comer to Marie Bankhead Owen about his
family.
