Hello, Everyone.

I am trying to trace a branch of my TAYLOR line. This part of the family moved to Cortez around 1900, and all of them spent at least part of their lives there.

Peter Stewart TAYLOR (1845-1913) emigrated from Scotland in 1861 and became a Naturalised US Citizen in 1881. He married twice: (1) to Ella WILLIAMS (c.1856-c.1883), by whom he had four children; (2) to Leona HUGHES (b 1872), by whom he had five children. His children were:

Herbert Stewart TAYLOR (1876-1970) m Mabel ADAMS (1886-1973) - both died in Cortez.

Vivian TAYLOR (b 1878)

John Lester TAYLOR (1880-1967)

George Decatur TAYLOR (b 1882) m (1) Clara KRUSE (1888-1976: divorced) who died in Cortez; (2) Mary Ann (Mrs) RITTER (b 1880). His son, Merton Ross TAYLOR (1910-2001) lived and died in Cortez.

Marshall Maurice TAYLOR (1894-1976)

Twins, Esther Clarice TAYLOR (b 1897) and Raymond Ogilvy TAYLOR (1897-1988)

Blanche Lucille TAYLOR (1900-1984), Mrs Wayne J. McCAW

Helen Natalie TAYLOR (b 1908)

I'd be interested to hear from anyone who knows anything about P.S.TAYLOR's children. I have a lot of information on other branches of the family, back into the 17th century.

Kind Regards,

Alyson
