I descend from John Compton Jr., b. 1760 Frederick Co., VA, d. 1828
Tazewell Co., VA, m. Eleanor McGuire, b. 1764 Bluestone, Augusta Co., VA.
My line is his son, John Compton III, of Russell Co., VA., b. 1784, m. Mary
Wallace. Their son is William F. Compton b. November 15, 1827 Russell Co.,
VA, m. March 31, 1851 in Pike Co., KY to Mary Polly Sword, d. March 4, 1904
Collingwood, Meeker Co., MN, buried Dassell Cem., Collingwood. He was my
great great grandfather.
I would strongly suspect that because I have John Compton Jr. with a son
named John Compton III, that the next generation back would be John Compton
or John Compton Sr.
I also strongly suspect we are dealing with the same family and that one of
these Johns may be the same as one of the Johns in the preceeding info.
Loving the dialogue!

b. Island Creek, Pike Co., KY 1884 and m. Isaac Young
