I have a Benjamin Compton, married to a Sarah Compton who moved from NJ to
Phila area between 1833 and 1837. In 1830 they are in the township of
Nottingham, county of Burlington, NJ, and then in 1840 they are in
Kensington Ward 2 in Phila, and in 1850 they are in Northern Liberties ward
7 in Phila. In 1950 the census states their daughter Sarah, age 17, is born
in NJ, while their next daughter Deborah, age 13, is born in PA.
