I like the documents you have. I'd like to search soundex search "Compton"
but exclude anything with exact matches with "Comptroller".

After submitting Compton 52 items were presented. Most of them were matches
to comptroller.

The site is: http://footnote.com.
The site has Pennsylvania records on line early: 1664 - 1800
Rev. War: 1775 - 1789
plus other colonial records.
I plugged in Compton and got 52 hits.
