Hi Mike!

Thank you for your note. I checked my database and I do not have a Frank
Compton and I have two Willie Comptons and several Williams' but not with
that birthdate. One Willie Compton is a female, born to William A. Compton
and Elisa Louisa Gordon Compton and was married to men with the surname of
Joiner and Ross. She died 5 May 1947 in Stewart County, Tennessee. The
other Willie Compton is a male and I have no data on him other than his
parents were a Charles Compton, b. 1873, Kentucky, m. 19 June 1895 Trigg
County, Kentucky to Virginia Taylor. Willie had a sibling by the name of
Monico.

I looked in my Trigg County, Kentucky Cemetery Records of Land Between the
Lakes 1814-1982 book and I found:

Trigg County, Compton Cemetery

Frank Compton, 25 Aug 1891-10 April 1918 and in Trigg County, Dixon Cemetery
there is Lona Harper Compton, Wife of Frank, 13 Dec 1899-10 April 1918. Is
there a story behind these two?

I have not found anything about a Willie Clay Compton, but I wrote to a
cousin and asked him if he had any information regarding your Willie Clay
and if I find anything, I'll pass it on.

I hope this helps and please let me know if I can be of further help.

Nancy
