Yup, if you have anything configured for networking, then it may require a
logon and password. Leave the Client for MSFT Networks, Dial-up Adapter, and
the TCP/IP stuff. You also might want to leave the VPN stuff. (VPN ==
virtual private network)

Good Evening George

I tried deleting *.PWL as you suggest ... and it came back unbidden :-(

Could that have something to do with a Windows network.

Under the CP > Network > Components installed I see

Client for Microsoft Networks
Client for Netware Networkd
Dial Up Adapter
Dial Up Adapter (VPN Support)
Microsoft Virtual Private Networking
IPX/SPX Compatible Protocol -> Dial Up Adapter
IPX/SPX Compatible Protocol -> Dial Up Adapter #2 (VPN Support)
NDISWAN -> Microsoft Virtual Private Networking Adapter
NetBEUI -> Dial Up Adapter
NetBEUI -> Dial Up Adapter #2 (VPN support)
TCP/IP -> Dial Up Adapter
TCP/IP -> Dial Up Adapter #2 (VPN Support)

I'm thinking I should fell this lot and leave only TCP/IP as all the new
owner now wants is a single line Internet Connection

Anyone care to chance an arm with their thoughts?

Yours aye

Ike
