William and Ruth (Hedges) Conklin do belong in New Jersey. But as I have stated before on the list, I was told by Keith Train, a well respected English genealogist, now deceased, that those were the names of the parents of Ananias Conklin. I prefer to keep that in the background as I search for Ananias' origins. As unlikely as it may look, it is a possibility. Growing up, my parents and another couple with the same names, both residing in Broome County, NY, often had their paper trails cross.
Mackenzie was a male as was Conklin Mann.

Hi all,
After spending way to long on reading old post..... Marc has his work cut out for him.
Does anyone remember the days when the person typing up new pages said "replaces page" such and such? I think William Conklin and Ruth Hedges would have retreated to their third or forth generation places long ago. Now anyone researching has to keep proving each and every event as Honor has so often said.
The piece that Honor worked on would fall into that category. I hope people with that line read it.
An added note on MacKenzie; controversial is a kind word. I realize that on some of the lines where little is available to figure out how it fits together but I believe she has confused John of Southold and John of Flushing and Rye quite a bit.
