Dear Listers.
Thanks to the good help and kindness I have unraveled my maternal
grandfather. Mr. Theodore
Shaina/Siejna :b.21 Mar 1850, in Poland, d. 12 May 1926.
I have his declaration of intention, from Paris Michigan dated Apr. 25
1878 where he stated that he
would renounce his allegiance to the King of Prussia.
He immigrated to Philadelphia PA., Met Juliana Oberski; b. 1856 in
Philadelphia d. 1900 in Harbor
Beach MI. He Married her either in Philadelphia or in MI., had children
which included my Mother.
At this point I am lost. Where in Prussia? what relatives did he leave
if any? His father and one
brother; Frank came to the U.S. He was a Catholic in MI , was he one in
Prussia?
If any one could get help meI surely would appreciate it .
