you will get NOTHING via an email request.
IT MUST be in writing to the personnel department of THE POLICE
DEPARTMENT, not the CITY personnel department.
go to their website,
find the head of personnel fo POLICE
WRITE a letter
EXPLAIN what you want,
WHERE you want it SENT
and WHAT YOUR RELATIONSHIP is to the person.
IF the person is still alive, I would take the time to get them TO
SIGN the letter and in that case write it as if THEY are asking for
the info, but have the info sent to YOU....right in that letter...
IF the person is dead, then include a copy of the death cert....
Provide them with as much info as you can about the person, perhaps
SSNmber (yes if they eventually got one... and division that they
worked in... and when.....and birth date.....
tell that YOU ARE USING THE INFORMATION for family and humanitarian
reasons ONLY.
But, an email will not work.
