An article appeared in the Tribune on January 1, 1960,(sent) about the
judge, Abby Lang, in which it said:
"Lang obtained a record penalty of 299 years of William Stacey, 24, an
itinerant photographer of babies, who murdered the mother of one of his
subjects in a sex attack in 1958. It was the longest term ever imposed
in the state."
Just wanted to tell the list the 'rest of the story'.

I got a break a few weeks ago tracking down family and asking them about the incident. The following article was posted in "The Hammond Times" newspaper (Calumet Region) which featured a story on a hommcide that took place. The man posed as a photographer that wanted to take pictures of a young infant. Once he gained the trust of the mother; the mother was brutually stabbed and killed. The lady that was stabbed was my 1st cousin Darlene Todd.
