Subject: Cooks of Burke County, North Carolina

I am looking for the ancestors of Isaac Cook, born about 1759 in Charlotte
County, Virginia and fought in the Revolutionary War. Isaac settled in Burke
County, North Carolina which later became Mitchell County, North Carolina.
Isaac had seven children that I know of: Oliver, born circa 1800, Burke
Co., N. C. and married Esther Stepp, Lewis, born circa 1801, married Keziah
Mullins, Elendor "Nellie" Cook, born circa 1802, married John Riddle, Isaac
Cook, born 1807, Burke Co., N. C., married Sally Robertson, Mary "Polly" Ann
Cook, born 1810, Burke County, North Carolina, married Thomas M. Sparks (my
gggrandfather), Ansel Cook, born in Burke Co., N. C., circa 1812, and George
Cook, born 1818,
Burke County, N. C., married to an Elizabeth Unknown. I would love to share
any information on Isaac that I have with anyone. Can someone tell me who
Isaac's father was? I would love to also see if I can relate to the Cooks
that settled in Haywood, Cherokee Counties, N. C. and the Cooks that settled
in Union County, Georgia. I NEED HELP. Help me out fellow Cookie Cousins.
Your cousin, Danny A. McBee. [Elinor, I finally made a post]. Thanks for
any information my fellow Cook cousins may send. Danny.
