It was probably very popular to name a son George Washington (anything)!  My oldest Geroge Washington Cooper was born abt 1855 in Bourbon or Bracken Co., KY, son of Lorenzo Dow Cooper b. abt 1826.  A brother of Lorenzo Dow, my gr-grandfather Samuel Cooper also named a son George Washington b. 1877 in Robertson Co. (formerly Bracken Co) KY.  Some of the siblings of these men moved to Kansas and died there.  Probably not a connection with us, but you never know.

I have three George Washington Coopers in my lineage ----
My great grandfather George Washington Cooper b. April 10, 1866 Arkansas,
died Nov. 1, 1938 Texas -- buried in LA.  His son G.W. , Jr. born Oct. 10,
1914, died Aug. 3, 1930 LA. and G. W. Sr.'s uncle George W. Cooper born
February 17, 1842, in Tennessee - died July 1915 -- Arkansas.
