Hi all,
The 1909 Copyright Act apparently was incorporated into the United
States Code as Title 17 by act of Congress on July 30, 1947 in CH(apter)
391 of 61 Stat(ute) 652.
This is the exact wording of one source that I found:
17 USC TITLE 17 - COPYRIGHTS
THIS TITLE WAS ENACTED BY ACT JULY 30, 1947, CH. 391, 61 STAT. 652,
From Copyright Circular 1a:
July 30, 1947
Copyright law codified into positive law as Title 17 of the U.S. Code.
As an interesting aside... July 30, 1947 is also the day that Arnold
Schwarzenegger was born.

Subject: [COPYRIGHT] 1909 Copyright Act
Near the bottom of many or all Sections of the 1909 Copyright Act, as
shown on the MegaLaw.com website, there is the following:
July 30, 1947, c. 391, 61 Stat. 654
Sometimes it is followed by one or more other dates:
July 30, 1947, c. 391, 61 Stat. 654; Oct. 31,1951, c. 655, § 16(a), 65
Stat. 716.
I'd like to know the meaning of the 1947 reference, but mainly I'm
concerned whether the text is the original 1909 text or whether it was
perhaps revised in 1947. Or, maybe the 1947 refers to something else.
