Verna:
Hello!! I'm hoping that you were the one whom sent this to me, but I
wasn't sure. Ha. Vickie had sent me some info about her GEORGE CORNELL, so I
have her info also. I'm glad to know of another Cornell person, whom had
"Cornell's" in Missouri, because so did I. I know nothing about my BENJAMIN
CORNELL 's parents, but I know he was born about 1811-12 in North Carolina.
His wife, if all my records are correct, was PAMELA CORNELIA YATES, whom was
born about 1825 in Putnam County, Indiana. Her parents were: ISAAC YATES &
RACHEL COLLINGS.
Of the children that my Benjamin & Pamela (my ggg-grandparents) had, I
descend from their daughter LYDIA ANN CORNELL (b: 28 Dec 1846-Missouri).
Their other children were: E. J. CORNELL (female-b: abt. 1843-44 Indiana);
NEWTON CORNELL (b: abt. 1845 Missouri); L. A. CORNELL (my gg-grandmother); S. C.
CORNELL (female-b: abt 1849 Missouri); WILLIAM CORNELL (b: abt. 1851-Missouri);
M. E. CORNELL (female-b: abt. 1853 Missouri); M. E. CORNELL (female-b: abt. 1856
Missouri).
My Benjamin & Pamela, were married on: 6 Jan 1843 in Putnam County,
Indiana. The "E.J., S. C., and my Lydia", were all "house maids" by the 1865
COFFEY COUNTY KANSAS CENSUS (Avon Twp-City of "LeRoy"). "Newton" was a
"laborer" from the census. I'm not exactly sure about what the names were for
the two "M. E.'s" that are listed from that census, but one could guess it was
either "Mary Ellen" or "Malissa" or possibly "May E.", but haven't any
documentation to back that up yet.
If any of these may sound familiar, or if you know possibly whom my
Benjamin's parents were, then please to let me know. Even if none of it sounds
familiar, please to keep me as an email contact and we can discuss this all
further. I'll keep you as a contact also. Thanks !!!
