Hi,
I'm starting with this stuff in hopes of helping myself as well as
others. Be patient with me ok? I'll try not to be repetitive and as
accurate as I can. Beginning with George McIntyre Cornettb. Oct 20, 1859
near Elk Creek, Grayson Co. VA. Moved to laurel Co. KY with his parents,
Beorge Bourn Cornett and Lydia Ann Adams. George M. had a least two
children with Martha Bowling before he made his move to Oregon permanent.
These of course didn't make the history books but they are my family :-)
I think his wife was Ruth Toney. Anyway he d. 1934 in Prineville OR.

Children of George and Martha: Ezekiel or EZ 19 Apr 1880 Laurel Co. KY m.
Stella Maud Hall. EZ d. March 26, 1942 He took the last name of his step
father Robert Allen. (EZ is my gfa)

Mary Cornet b. 1883 in Laurel m. Ed Hinkson

George M. Cornett left Ky in 1880's and went to Prinville Oregon where he
operated a stage line of 500 miles using 360 horses and over 100
vehicles. His stage lines ran from Shaniko, the rail head to central
Oregon towns. He was a pioneer in the use of motorized vehicles as stage
coaches in Oregon."

Resources: Charlotte Cosby (my cousin) researcher, census records, and
"Cornett, Surratt, Robinson, Russell Ancestors and Related Families of
Some Descendants of John C. Cornett." James D. Cornett Author I think I
quoted that properly.
