Stephen B. Cornett
Capt. Stephen B. Cornett ws born 12 Oct 1822 Grayson, died 26 Feb. 1897.
He was married three times. On 1 Dec 1851 Wythe Co. VA., he married
first Martha J. Wampler born 29 Mar 1817, died Apr 1872. their three
children listed by Roman numerals were:
I.Rosamond J. Cornett born 20 dec. 1852 Grayson, died 1928. She
married Alex Porter on 22 Oct. 1879 Grayson and had five children:
A.Charles Porter
B. Blanche Porter lived in Mont.
C. Mattie Porter lived in Idaho
D. Kermit Porter
E. Verda Ellen Porter married George Carson

II.Mary Ester Cornett born 12 Mar 1856 Grayson died 1951 She married
Calvin thomas and had seven chilfren:
A. Gover Thomas married first Rose ____. and second Bess Whett.
B. Stephen Glen thomas married Katherine Elizabeth Cox and had
three children:
1.Virginia Thomas married David Greer
2.Elizabeth Thomas married Floyd (mcComel?)
3.Cree Thomas married Margaret Doyle
C.Maude Thomas married John Watson Helvey. They lived in
Wise Co., Va and had four children:

D.Virginia Kathryn thomas married Harmon Hash. they lived
in Ropanoke, Va and had a son, Paul Hash
