Greetings to all. My name is Joe Jackson and I am related to the Cornett
family through my grandmother. I'll list the genealogy below:

William Cornett m. Rhoda Gilliam
Archibald Cornett m. Judy McDaniel
Anderson Cornett m. Susan Harris
Granville Cornett m. Ellen (Ella) Combs
Anderson Cornett m. Susan Cornett
Annie Cornett m. Leslie Hogg

One of their daughters, Alta Mae Hogg (my grandmother) married John E.
Jackson. One of their daughters - Rosaland Jackson is my mother.

I found a wealth of information while visiting the library in Whitesburg,
Ky. The two best documented lines that I have found are the Hoggs and the
Cornetts. I have truely enjoyed this process.

By profession, I am an active duty officer (Major) in the US Army. Upon my
return from Iraq in 2005, I determined that I would fill in the "gaps" in my
family genealogy. Little did I know how fascinating it would be.

I really appreciate the utility of the Cornett Corner website.
