Keweenaw and Houghton County Michigan USA records are being put online.

There are now many 1870 Census records online for Keweenaw County and
also the Eagle Harbor School Census 1896-1919. I have a copy of the
Pine Grove Cemetery Records of Ealgel Harbor and am trying to format it
for the site. So stop back in the next day or two for that record.

Now, for Houghton County-
The 1864 Michigan State Census of Houghton Co. is going online. This
census gives head of household only.
I have been scanning more newspaper articles from the Mining Gazette
transcriptions by June and Dick Ross. They are getting to be very
interesting as the area population was expanding. The articles are
beginning to sound like the scenes from the "Old West", but don't forget
this part of the USA was considered part of the Wild West at one time.
Obituaries are being put online as I receive them from the M. G. Ross
Files. They are being transcribed by some of our very own list members.

There is also a list of burials performed in a cemetery in Hancock that
is now under a church!

Enjoy and I hope you find the person you are looking for.
