Subject: Research(ers) in Cornwall - I need recommendations
Date: Fri, 12 Mar 1999 19:37:01 +0300

Can anyone recommend a good researcher in Cornwall to help me find out
about my ancestors who lived there in the 17th century? Or perhaps
vouch for the ones below?

Rita Warmington at the Cornwall Family History Society very kindly
gave me several Truro-based postal addresses: the Cornwall Record
Office, Family History Research, and a man called Peter King. She also
gave me the address of the Courtney Library which apparently answers
enquiries but can't undertake extensive research. Do they do
photocopies to order??

If anyone can give me more details, especially e-mail addresses, I'd
be very grateful. I'd like to be able to communicate with them by
e-mail as the Russian postal system is a little unreliable, to say the
least. Sometimes it takes a letter four days to arrive from abroad,
sometimes four months, and usually the letters arrive ripped open and
barely resealed.

Thanks very much.
