Miners for Mineral Point
The Royal Adelaide, under the command of Mr. Joseph Vivian, left
Falmouth harbour for New York, on Saturday last, with nearly 200
emigrants on board, the greater part of whom are miners from the western
part of the county, destined to a place called Mineral Point, distant
from New York about 2,700 miles.

Above is from "Life in Cornwall in the Mid 19th Century," edited by R.M. Barton.
The book consists of extracts of the period (1835-1854) from the
newspaper "The West Briton."
Kind regards,
Sandy
