Dear All,
For sometime now I have been at a brickwall with my family name of SHIRLEY and their connections.
My Paternal family were born in the St. Germans Parish of CON and also in TORPOINT i.e. my Father and his siblings etc. Some were married over the Tamar in Devon.

Today on the 1901 census I am pretty sure that I have found my long lost Lucy SHIRLEY born 1875/6 in Saltash, CON.

I have found a Lucy age 24 years married to Thomas ROWCE aged 41yrs - Gen Lab - born Torpoint, CON
THEIR FAMILY WERE:
Ada - dau - 19 - Housemaid ( Domestic ) worker - born Torpoint, CON
Reginald - son - 13
Charles - son - 10
Elsie - dau - 8mths
Sylvia SHIRLEY ( my Granddad's sister ) down as Sister - in - Law - born Saltash, CON.
Gerald - Stepson - 4yrs.

I have a couple of queries:
Is ROWCE a variation of - ROWE/ROUSE/ROUCE etc?
My elderly aunt thought that there was a ROUSE/ROWE(S) connection somewhere, maybe this was it?

Also does anyone connect with this family?
If these name ring any bells, let me know?
TIA
Carol Lloyd nee SHIRLEY
