Jocelyn, my last ancestor was, as I mentioned, Mary YELLAN who married
John VARCOE in 1710. I do have information on the family stretching back
to John YELLAND als WELBROOKE who married Mary LYSTON in South Brent in
Devon in 1599. His father was John as well who married Margaret CHOLWELL
als WILLIAMS. We don't know where but I presume it also was in South
Brent. I'm afraid that my family is a bit too early for yours however you
may be able to make a further connection with Winnie DRUM. She has made a
great study of the YELLAND family although I don't know if she has
