Hello Joy,

The name BARTLE sounds familiar to me. As I remember, my friend
used to work for a man whose name was Barkell, a principal of the
Hancock School. She said his name was Bartle before they changed it to
Barkell, and they have been around here a long time.

He is involved with the Houghton County Historical Society, in
Lake Linden, Michigan.
