Hi, John,

And a fine song it is. If you can't find it by Eric Bogle, it was also
recorded by John McDermott, a fine tenor born in Glasgow to a Scots
father and an Irish mother, his family moved to Willowdale, Ontario,
Canada in 1965. John recorded the CD "Battlefields of Green, Songs of
Love and Loss" (Angel Records) in 1992, in memory of the uncles he never
knew, and of the 947,023 Empire troops who died in the "War to End All
Wars." The list of songs on his album include:

The Green Fields Of France
Eric Bogle
By Yon Bonnie Banks
traditional
Danny Boy
traditional
The Last Rose Of Summer
traditional
And The Band Played Waltzing Matilda
Eric Bogle
The Old House
Sir Fredrick O'Connor
The Faded Coat Of Blue
J.H. McNaughton
The Rose Of Tralee
traditional
The Sun Is Burning
Iain Campbell
Christmas In The Trenches
J. McCutchheon/Appal Songs
The Minstrel Boy
traditional
Auld Lang Syne
traditional
Danny Boy (a cappella)
traditional

John's voice is wonderful, the album is beautifully recorded and
includes background notes about each song.

Tomorrow my thoughts will be with those who served, and with those who
are still serving.

Very best regards,
