In the US, tidbits it is. I think there is/are junkfood called cheese
tidbits or some such. Maybe not.
Anyway surely tit has the same usage as a vulgar word for the female breast
or part thereof that make it unacceptable as a useful word here. We lose the
use of a lot of otherwise acceptable words because of their use as vulgarisms.
