Subject: Census 1851 - Surnames!

To the list,

I just went to the site and found ALL of my variant surnames for HAMBLEY,
HAMLEY, etc. Since I haven't been able to find my ggrandfather JAMES HARVEY
HAMBLEY in Cornwall, I now have some other likely counties to search for his
birth and parents. I do know he was born in 1850 "in England" from U.S.
census records. Had found a number of possible Hambleys in Cornwall and
Devon, but none seem to be MY Hambley. So hurrah, I don't have to check ALL
the English counties--at least not yet....

Here's the site again in case you missed it, (the poor guy in Houston, Texas
will be deluged!)
