Hi all,
Back in the dim dark past, before the IGI was online, you were able to
download at LDS data from their CD Roms.
Then using a program called IGI 255 which was available on the net you could
convert the data into text and from there, into various formats.
I converted mine into access 97.
I put together most of my Edwards, Keam, Strout and Peter etc families.
If you want to spend a lot of time setting it up, it is a little easier to
find some data and relationships etc.
It was excellent, but now you can download the data, I can't see the need.
I have a copy of IGI255 v 4.9 zipped to 282k. That was the latest then
available.
That is how I downloaded it - now please don't ask me where from - it was
June 98.
I will send a copy to anyone who wants one.
Regards
Clem from Western Australia

I get to the IGI through www.familysearch.org <A

Good hunting!
