Hello, Bronwyn, Phil and all.
I did not see the original enquiry as I was away (camping) and
"unsubscribed". If Trewan Hall and Trewan House are one and the same (OS map
reference 200/910646) then you may like to know that it is now an excellent
Club Site of the Camping and Caravanning Club. The Club Guide refers to "the
old stone mansion of Trewan Hall" and "in the Old Hall, campers can use a
library and writing room - with a full-sized billiard table", "a shop....
sells everything from bread to pasties and snacks". "Evening entertainment
can be found in the Long Barn" and, although it is some time since we were
last there, I remember this as being one of the outstanding Club sites in the
country.
I bet they needed the Long Barn this holiday week - the weather has been
awful!
