Hallo Edith:
I don't know when your ancestor was in Perranuthnoe, but here are a few
mines I found there that he might have worked in.
Working in 1856
WHEAL CHARLOTTE, Perranuthoe
WHEAL TREBARVAH, Perranuthnoe
MOUNT's BAY MINE
In 1883, Kelly's Directory states, "WHEAL TREBARVAH and TREGURTHA DOWNS are
the only mines now at work in this parish."
TREGURTHA DOWNS TIN MINE
CAPTAIN JAMES, Purser, Goldsithney
WHEAL TREBARVAH COPPER MINES (Mount's Bay Consols Limited)
HENRY BROWN, Purser; WILLIAM ARGALL, Manager; JOHN ROWE, Agent
Best wishes, Joan
