my grandfather: Richard Langdon b 29 March 1882 Brotton York Eng
His father William Thomas Langdon
b. 1857 Pengilly, Cornwall Eng
d. <we have no information as to what
happened to him>
Parents: George Langdon & Fanny (Annie?)

His mother Eliza Rowe or Rowv
b 24 August 1856/1860 St. Just,
Cornwall Eng
d 9 March 1926 Vallejo, California
while visting from Sacramento CA
buried at Masonic Lawn Cemetery ,
Sacramento, CA
Parents: James Rowe (name found on death
certificate)
& Rachel "Thomas"
(surname later found elsewhere)

Eliza & daughter Ethel immigrated in 1900 and are found on the 1910
Census of Bisbee, Cochise Co., Arizona. My grandfather Richard & his
brothers came here around 1898. They later relocated to Jackson & Sacramento
California.

Eliza Rowe & William Langdon had the following children: (Peter & Mary could
of been half-sibs as in the 1910 Census Eliza states she only had 5
children.)

Family is found on 1881 Census of Brotton, Yorkshire, Eng at the address of
49 Chapel Street, same address that Eliza & hubby were living when my
grandfather was born (address on his birth certificate in 1882) Eliza must
of been pregnant when census was taken, Also at the address of 48 Chapel
Street., George & Fanny Langdon with their children are listed. I am
assuming this is William's parents & siblings because I have a old letter
with reference to a sister (as aunt) named Philipa (Spry living in Delabole,
Cornwall Eng)

George & Fanny Langdon's family:

Aaron Langdon b 1867 ditto
Milford (Milverhand?) Langdon b 26 May 1869 Easton, Yorkshire Eng

(died 1881)

And this is all we know..... it was rumored someone in the family left for
Africa or somewhere in search of diamonds and was never heard from again. We
know so little about the family.
