Hi All,
I have come a across a website concerning the history of a football club in
Coquimbo circa 1900.
http://www.coquimbounido.8m.com/historia.htm
It's in Spanish and lengthy but I used an online translator program (which
sort of worked) to try and decipher it. A number of Cornish names are
mentioned and I thought this might be of interest to some list members.
Among the names I spotted are: CHIRGWIN, EDDIE, TREWITHICKS, RICHARDS,
CHELLEW, JAMES, BAWDEN, and TREVENA.
My parents used to describe Chilean Football as similar to rugby (my father
used to play) but this seems to be about soccer. Would someone be able to
clarify this for me?
Best Wishes,
Jo Anne Chellew Gaddy, California
