My great great grandfather, Thomas Menheneott , was supposed to have been
born in Bodmin in 1810.
The spelling varies a great deal.
I have found his Royal Marine records, as Thomas Menhinnect.
His marriage certificate, in 1844, is  as Menhinect, father's name John.
His son's birth certificate, in 1845,  is also recorded as Menhinect.
I have found a Thomas Moxom, son of Susanna Menhin..tt, spinster, baptised in
Bodmin in 1819, but I 'm not sure that it's him.

There is a family story that his father, my 3x great grandfather, was Herbert
Menhenict, born 1775, and fought in the Battle of Waterloo.
Any help in tracing Thomas, or his father would be much appreciated.
