Thunder and Lightening is positively the best way to enjoy clotted cream.
Splits (soft bread rolls) generously spread with butter, black treacle and
clotted cream :-)))
A new development is Thunder and Lightening as served these days by the
Gurnard's Head Hotel; this is a wonderful dessert made up of good quality vanilla
Ice cream layered with black treacle, a generous tot of gin poured over and
then topped with a huge dollop of clotted cream - wonderful! I'm off down there
in a weeks' time - can't wait!
cheers
Catherine
