What a wonderful answer to my question about the Flemish influence in
Cornwall. I'm always impressed by the depth of knowlege available on this
List if one just asks. Thank you Sandra. Wherever the Hocking name
originated is interesting speculation and there's no doubt that the family
has been in Cornwall for hundreds of years so as to become part of the
fabric of the land. I'm not really worried about the make-up of my DNA or my
Cornish roots but it's interesting how a simple question tells part of a big
story.
