Well the ball is in full swing, do you think we can have the Mexican Hat Dance haven't done that for years, lots of fun though. I'm hoping to have a dance with Fred Astaire but I'm having trouble beating off the other "ladies". Perhaps we should have Progressive Barn Dance that way the ladies all have a chance to dance with him and the men can dance with Ginger Rogers.
Must find the Crocodiles and then we really can have the "Crocodile Rock". Did I hear a whisper that Sir Elton was attending, he'd love to get dressed up in the ballgowns, wigs and all. Probably outdo Sir R. Elton could play and sing a few numbers as well for us.
Phew, I'm getting exhausted all this dancing, enjoyed the Mexican Hat Dance glad you all agreed, need a Margarita now to cool me down. Hyacinth looks as if she has been enjoying too much of the "turps" whatever her "poison" is. Gloria have you been plying her with Mead or is it the dreaded Tinners Punch. She's certainly staggering around the floor. Now she is chatting up Sir Elton I'm not sure whether she knows who she's talking too. Huu-lloo Hyacinth what are you up to?
Think I better find myself something to eat, been drrrrrinking tooooo mussh. What a feast to select from, actually the pork pie looks rather good if unusual to find in Cornwall, I will also have a lovely pastie and some prawns . After I've scoffed them I'll try the desserts, I love desserts. What do you suggest I have there are so many to choose from. The icecream pudding looks pretty good but there's plenty of other things there.
I shouldn't have spoken to Hyacinth she'sbugging me wanting to know what sort of nobility we have in Melbourne, I told her only the best people live there. Otherwise Duchess Kay wouldn't be there. II also told her I have the most wonderful candlelit suppers out on the patio, with the cicadas singing and the mossies biting. It was unfortunate that Duke Edwin couldn't make the trip with me, they could've had a grand old chinwag. Here comes Sir R she's decided he's better game and offfff she staggers, I think it is mead that is her tipple.
Well I've nearly finished my prawns, pork pie and pastie, what a combination. I'll pay for it tomorrow, who cares. I'm sure Kanga has plenty of Alka Seltzer in the pouch. I'm off to check out the desserts will let you know how I enjoyed them later. Hopefully Sir Elton will have arrived by then.
