Hello Cousins,

While trying to find someone who "went missing" among the patients who died
in The Melbourne Hospital 1867 - 1880 ...... I realised that this may help
others to find a lost rellie ...... so I extracted the names of those who
gave their birthplace as Cornwall from this website
http://hub.dataline.net.au/~tfoen/meldeath.html

The Melbourne Hospital was opened in the late 1840s and until 1871 it was
the only general hospital in Victoria ...... while most would probably have
preferred not to go to hospital, some did end up there.

For further details re the source of the info, explanation of codes and
names of other patients (as a lot may not have given their place of birth)
etc. see the above website.

I have searched the Victorian BDM Indexes for any addition info and have
included that after each name.

It may be possible to find some of these among the List of Assisted British
Immigrants 1839 - 1871 on the PRO of Victoria's website
http://proarchives.imagineering.com.au/index_search.asp?searchid=24

Kindest Regards ...... Corinne in Melbourne, Australia.
