Go to Geevor Mine in preference to Poldark Mine. Geevor is real. Poldark
used to be Wendron Forge and featured some excellent art work for sale as
well as a few hisotrical exhibits.

Now an old diggin's has been renamed. Poldark is not an authentic Cornish
name, it was made up by the author of the Poldark books. Good books, true,
but Geevor is authentic and altogether real. I visited Geevor while at
Dehwelans and it is well worth the visit.
