Hi all, I have a problem with my ggrandparents (doesn't everyone). I know
this not an Irish list but with the circumstances, thought I would try. I
have discovered that they must have left Ireland and gone to England before
coming to the States. I did find them on the 1860 census in Pennsylvania.
It lists that the oldest son Patrick was born in England. In fact every
census I have found them on lists his birth 1851 in England. John Clark and
Margaret McHale were born in County Mayo, between Killala and Ballina around
1830's and married there. Maybe I could find them on the 1851 census
somewhere in England, but don't know where to look.
Why they went to England is a question. When and where I have no idea, but
would like to locate the information, if possible. Does anyone have a
suggestion?
