[Posted to both Cornish AND Cornish-gen, with apologies]
Dear delightful, most elucidating and all Cornish knowing listers,
I HATE to ask a silly question....but I have become enamoured of these
transcripts from West Briton...
so I have to ask, (in best Tweety Boid voice):
Aw, Granny, Where is West Briton?
Also, while I am at it, it seems that I may soon take possession of a
microfiche reader, the better to assist with parish transcripts.
Would it be possible to obtain fiche of local newspapers and relevant
historical parchments early C19 from other areas in Cornwall,
like Land's End, West Penwith, Hayle, Penzance?
Also, when did printed newspapers begin (esp.various Cornish ones)?
Cheers
Deb,
from tiny little pocket handerchief sized piece of Cornwall,
Adelaide
South Australia
(40 withering degrees today...and tomorrow..).
