G'day Margaret, there is also another list that may be able to help you, it
is for the area specifically.
Linda Nelson is an Online Parish Clerk for Kilkhampton, try googling OPC
Cornwall for the link.
If you need a hand with any of the above, email me back.
Happy hunting

Subject: [CORNISH] HOCKRIDGE - KILKHAMPTON

Hi,

I have joined the Cornish List in the hope that someone might be able to
help me - I have written twice to the Cornwall Records Office but they do
not reply to my emails.

I am trying to find the parents of Judith Hockridge born Kilkhampton about
1783. I have a Richard Hockridge married to Judith Trick of Morwenstow 28
Feb 1778 and six of their children and did wonder if my Judith was of this
family or an illegitimate daughter of a Granville Hockridge, as when Judith
married into the Dowdall family she named her youngest son Granville
Hockridge Dowdall. The name Granville has been passed down through the
generations and I have an uncle and cousin of this name.

Any information would be greatly appreciated - I have researched the
Dowdalls back to 1650 in North Devon and Judith Hockridge is the only one on
my tree without parents!!

Thanking you.

Kindest regards,
Margaret Gully (Adelaide)
