I should have read further before sending my previous reply.
Someone suggested using sticky labels. Do as you like, but adhesive labels
have a relatively short lifespan--in some situations less than 10 years.
You may wind up with a nice display of photos with their identifying labels
missing.
The most sure method of labeling original photos is with graphite, on back.
Or, if necessary on today's photo papers an acid free, permanent, black ink.
If you decide placing your original photos into an album is your choice
(wouldn't be mine), then you could label the pages again in some method
other than sticky labels.
Going back to my original email. I would recommend scanning your originals
first then using any number of commercial scrapbook programs to layout your
.jpg file photos into a very professional looking display complete with
labels. Store your originals safely away preferably in acid free paper
envelopes.
Also keeping this Cornish. My wife and I received our shipment of pasties
this afternoon from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan USA (the copper
country), www.pasty.com. Delicious!
