In 2002 I took my father back to where his grandfather was born near
Wadebridge. We looked at the church where his g-grandfather was sexton and
the house in which the whole family was born and lived. It was quite
emotional for my father, my sister and myself.

We also visited the village in Northants where another g-grandfather was born
with similar results.

Next year I hope to finally visit Merther, my primary OPC parish where my
g-grandmother and g-grandfather (from Wadebridge above) were married just
before they emigrated.
