A query about the Skinnard family of Landulph - in particular the family of William Snell Skinnard and Jane Rickard. Three of their 5 children Emily (3/11/1841), Elizabeth (2/5/1844) and William John (7/12/1855) were recorded as being born in the Tamar Valley - the other 2 were born at St. Stephen's-by-Saltash and at Torpoint. Tamar Valley - a geographical region maybe - but surely not an address. I have found these 3 children in various censuses as being born in Newpassage Devon but can not find any of the 5 in the BMD Index. Can anybody shed information on the Tamar Valley or the Newpassage referred to here?
